Outside of work, Matt is an outdoor enthusiast focused on climbing and former musician, football player and national-level powerlifting competitor. The discipline and consistency required in sport mirror the standards he brings to every property under Peak & Pine's care: proactive stewardship, attention to detail, and a commitment to long-term excellence.
In his free time, he pursues high-intensity outdoor activities including climbing, paragliding, skiing, and hunting. He is naturally drawn to adventures that demand a synergy of physical endurance and mental focus, whether navigating the backcountry or exploring mountain peaks. These pursuits provide the essential balance and energy required to stay recharged and focused.
Ondrej is a software engineer with an aerospace background, having contributed to advanced systems for Airbus and Gulfstream. His work required precision, reliability, and strong systems thinking—principles that continue to guide his approach.
He also brings hands-on experience from Whistler with Black Tusk Fire & Security, where he worked on alarm and surveillance systems, gaining practical insight into local property needs.This combination of technical expertise and real-world experience allows Ondrej to approach challenges with clarity, efficiency, and accountability.
Matt's approach to property stewardship is rooted in precision, accountability, and understanding of how buildings work. Raised in Central Europe, he developed a strong sense of self-reliance and practical problem-solving—values that continue to shape his work today.
His background combines strategic leadership with technical expertise. After briefly serving in the military, he studied Management and Marketing at Charles University in Prague and went on to own and operate a construction company in Europe. Following his move to Canada, he got into property services, where he quickly advanced into operations leadership roles overseeing carpet cleaning, floor restoration, and HVAC maintenance while reporting directly to the owner.
